Social Change

Every community, and many of us as individuals, have behaviours that we want - and need - to change. We’re often safe and comfortable with what we know and behaviour change can be frightening and hard work. Despite this, we can’t underestimate the power of both individual and wider behaviour change.

As individuals change on a personal level, we start to see the wider benefit of behaviour change on families, communities and on us as a country. As we drive behaviour change, we reduce health inequalities, raise aspirations and provide our communities with choice. Seeing it like this, behaviour change suddenly becomes positive and something we could all sign up to.

To achieve this, we need to help facilitate that behaviour change - this is where ICE comes in. We use innovative social marketing and behaviour change techniques to support the development of effective long-term strategies which address key social challenges and promote sustainable behaviour change.

That includes practical behaviour change tools such as the STELa behaviour change framework and the ICE Research Deck.

What's more, our behaviour change work recognises the essential links between organisations, their cultures  and the communities they serve. We call this powerful blend SO Change (Social Change + Organisational Change) as it not only helps citizens redesign how they live, it also enables organisations to redesign how they work. True people-centred behaviour change.

We have a range of case studies on this website which highlight our social change work:

We also have specific behaviour change expertise around public health:
